The Adult Workforce Development Division of the Association for Career and Technical Education is committed to providing career and technical educators high-quality information and services responsive to your needs as a training and employment professional. The Adult Workforce Development Division strives to keep pace with the latest trends in technology, education and legislation in order to produce quality workers for a competitive workforce. In addition to the great benefits through ACTE, members of the Adult Workforce Development Division receive additional benefits tailored to their needs.
Members of the Adult Workforce Development Division include educators, teachers, counselors, administrators, placement officers, economic developers, adult basic education instructors, sex equity coordinators and literacy instructors. These professionals bring to the table a wide array of approaches to preparing individuals for employment. Through many networking opportunities, members and their agencies and institutions can gain an informed, focused perspective on the rapidly changing job market—and learn new ways to equip clients and students with in-demand job market skills.
The Adult Workforce Development Division was called the Employment and Training Division until December 1999, when ACTE's Assembly of Delegates approved the name change to better reflect the makeup of the Division's membership.
